Convenience store robbery in north Belfast

Police are investigating a robbery in north Belfast yesterday evening.

Shortly before 8.15pm, a man armed with a knife, entered a convenience store on the Woodvale Road area of the city, threatened staff, before making off with a quantity of cigarettes and cash.

No one was injured during the incident.

The robber is described as being aged in his late 30s or early 40s and of stocky build. He was wearing blue coloured 'Replay' brand jeans with the word 'Replay' written across the back in yellow letters, a navy coloured top with a white band cross it, and was carrying a navy hold-all with red straps.

Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery, or who may have any information in connection with it, are asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
