Three men arrested in connection with Christie murder
The police major investigations team along with uniformed police officers in Bangor District Command Unit have arrested three men in connection with the murder of Mark Christie last year.
A spokesperson for the PSNI conformed that the three men were arrested in the Bangor, County Down, earlier today, however there are no further details as yet.
Mark Christie, 36, from the Whitehall area of the town, was chased through the Kilcooley estate by up to six men on August 22 2006.
Mr Christie was eventually caught and beaten to death by the gang. Police believe that a machete may have been used in the murder.
It is understood that the victim had been given a suspended jail term after being charged with assault the week before he was murdered.

Fourth man arrested in murder probe
