Injured man found in County Tyrone
Detectives in County Tyrone are investigating an incident at the weekend in which a man was found with serious head injuries.
The 54-year-old man was found in his home in the Innishmore Gardens area of Coalisland in Dungannon, shortly before 6.30pm yesterday evening. The incident was reported to police by ambulance crew attending the scene a short time later.
A spokesperson for the PSNI today said that the man remains in a “serious but stable” condition in hospital.
Detectives are investigating how the man's injuries were caused and at this stage are treating the circumstances as suspicious.
Anyone who may have witnessed anything or who may have any information in relation to the incident, which could be of use to police, are asked to contact them in County Tyrone on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

County Tyrone man convicted of benefit fraud
A County Tyrone man has been convicted of benefit fraud. John Finlay, 52, of Seein Road, Sion Mills , appeared at Omagh Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with obtaining benefits to which he was not entitled. Mr Finlay was fined £300 for claiming Job Seeker’s Allowance to the value of £5,094 while failing to disclose his savings.

Man assaulted in County Tyrone
An 18-year-old man has sustained injuries following an assault in Castlederg, County Tyrone. It is understood the man was walking along the Corgary Road near the Aghyaran crossroads at 2:30pm on Saturday when a number of people attacked him. He suffered suspected broken ribs and injuries to his face and chest.

Man And Woman Flee Arson Attack
A man and a woman have been forced to flee their house after it was set alight in an arson attack. The incident happened at a residence in Cookstown, County Tyrone. The house at Killymoon Crescent was set alight at about 04:30 in the early hours of Wednesday morning. The man and woman were not injured, but the building was badly damaged.

Man dies in County Tyrone collision
One man has died following a road traffic collision in County Tyrone. The incident happened on the Omagh to Newtownstewart road close to the Ulster American Folk Park shortly before 9am today. It is understood that the victim was a pedestrian. His name has not yet been released.
