Robbers bind and gag woman and daughter

A Chinese woman and her eight-year-old daughter have been left shaken after a robbery in Co Londonderry over the weekend.

At around 7.45pm on Saturday night, four Chinese men burst into the woman's Glenshane Road home and bound and gagged the pair. The woman was then assaulted and forced to reveal the combination of a safe in the house.

The gang then made off with a substantial amount of money.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Appeal Issued For Missing Chinese Woman
Police are appealing for information to help trace a missing Chinese woman. Chutai Huang, aged 40, was last seen in the Ballymena area on 28 September. She speaks very little English and usually carries a backpack. She is believed to have travelled to either Belfast or Newry. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Masked gang beat woman in front of teenage daughter
A woman has been severely beaten in front of her teenage daughter in a paramilitary-style attack in Belfast. The 30-year-old woman was beaten by a gang of up to 10 masked men who broke into her Tamery Pass house in Willowfield at around 6am this morning. The woman sustained a broken arm and a broken leg after she was beaten with iron bars.

Mother freed by young daughter after robbery
A four-year-old girl freed her mother after two robbers who ransacked their Antrim home had left her tied her up in a bedroom. Two men pushed their way into a house close to the Antrim Area Hospital, when the 46-year-old woman answered the door. They forced her into the bedroom where they tied her up.

Double death tragedy in Halloween shooting
A 47-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have died in a shooting incident in east Belfast in the early hours of Sunday morning. A 15-year-old girl, the daughter of the woman killed in the shooting, has undergone emergency surgery for two gunshot wounds. Her condition is described as "comfortable".
