'Racial' attack on Dundonald property

Police in east Belfast have appealed for information after criminal damage was caused to a house during an attack yesterday evening.

The incident happened shortly after 11.30pm, when the front window of a property in the Ardcarn area Drive area of Tullycarnet, was smashed.

The assailants then threw paint inside the house, causing damage to the interior.

A bottle was also thrown at the rear door of the property, however no damage was caused.

A woman aged in her 20s inside the house at the time was uninjured during the incident.

Police believe the attack to have been racially motivated as the occupant is a foreign national, and have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed anyone suspicious in the area, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
