Shots fired at west Belfast house

Police in west Belfast have appealed for information after a number of shots were fired at a house yesterday evening.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm, when a shotgun round was fired through the front door and into the hallway of a property in the Glenveagh Park area of the city.

No was was injured during the attack.

Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, however have ruled out a sectarian or racial motive.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have any information in connection with the attack, are asked to contact police on the Grosvenor Road on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Shots Fired At House In West Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a number of shots were fired at a house in West Belfast. The incident occurred in the Aitnamona Crescent area on Wednesday, 19 April.  Detective Inspector Mark McHaffie said: "Just after 10pm, a number of shots were fired at the house. Two people were in the property at the time however no-one was injured.
