Car-jackings in Comber and south Belfast
Police are investigating two attempted car-jackings in Comber and south Belfast.
In Comber, a 22-year old man and his sister, who was the driver of the car, were pulled from their vehicle near Comber Leisure Centre.
The incident took place at around 5pm in Bridge Street Link, Comber.
The woman was not injured but the man was assaulted and sustained cuts and bruising.
Three men were involved in the incident. One man made off in the car, the two other men made off on foot.
Around an hour later there was an attempted hijacking in the area of Donnybrook Street off the Lisburn Road.
At around 6pm a driver was starting the engine of his car when a man opened the door and dragged him from the vehicle.
The driver received minor cuts and bruises in the incident.
The car made off in the direction of Sandringham Street.
Earlier, there had been a robbery at an amusement arcade in the area. A man who entered the premises armed with a knife took cash from the cash drawer and demanded money from the safe.
Two members of staff were shocked, but were uninjured.
Police are examining the possibility that the two incidents in south Belfast are linked.

Police Appeal For Missing Man Sam Comber
Police are appealing for information to help trace missing man Sam Comber. He went missing from the Cullion area of L'Derry on Sunday, 14 May. Mr Comber was last seen in the Ice Wharf on Sunday afternoon. Police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Pensioner Mugged In Comber Greenway
A pensioner who was walking on a zimmer frame has been knocked to the ground by a man in the Comber Greenway area. The incident happened on the greenway, close to Barnett's Road/Kings Road at around 12.45pm on Friday A man, who was wearing a dark hoody, pulled the woman's handbag and knocked her to the ground.

Life sentence for man who murdered uncle
A man has been sentenced to life in jail for stabbing his uncle to death despite allegations that he had been the victim of sexual abuse in the past. Thomas Ian McQuade, 32 told Belfast Crown Court that he murdered 59-year-old Joseph McQuade at his home in Comber as an act of revenge because he had been sexually abused by his uncle.

Murdered Man Found In Car
A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a man was found in a car in County Down. The man has been named locally as Philip Strickland,36. He was found in a car on Quarry Road, off the Ballydrain Road, near Comber on Wednesday. It is understood that the murder took place around 21.
