Suspected arson attack in County Antrim

Police in County Antrim have appealed for information following a suspected arson attack at the weekend.

The incident happened at around 3.45am yesterday morning, when a shed at a property in the Woodside View area of Dunmurry, was set alight.

The fire then spread to the house, where the family were asleep inside.

The occupants managed to escape from the property without being injured, however damage was caused to windows and a rear door.

Detectives investigating the incident have asked for anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the fire, or anyone with any information in relation to the cause of it, to contact them at Lisburn on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Arson Attack On Property In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following a fire at a house in north Belfast. The incident happened in the Greenmount Place area at around 5.30am on Saturday. Fire crews attended the scene and put out the blaze. Damage was caused to the kitchen and a bedroom of the property.

Trio Of Vehicles Set On Fire In Carrickfergus
A trio of vehicles have been set on fire in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim. Just after 3am on Wednesday, 05 October, three vehicles parked outside a property in the North Road area were set on fire. The PSNI and the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) attended the scene, extinguished the fire and two people were evacuated from the property.

Police Appeal For Witnesses To North Belfast Fire
The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following an arson attack on a property in north Belfast on Wednesday 05 September. Shortly before 9.45am it was reported that an unoccupied flat on Woodland Avenue was on fire. It is believed that entry had been gained to the property before the fire started in the kitchen area.

Ards Vehicle Fire Being Treated As Arson
A vehicle fire in Newtownards in the early hours of Sunday 23 April is being treated as arson, the PSNI has reported. Shortly after 1.20am, police received a report that the window of a Ford Transit van, parked in the Upper Greenwell Street area, had been smashed and a fire started in the front cabin.

Man Injured In Arson Attack In L'Derry
Police have issued an appeal for information following an arson incident in L'Derry. A man is being treated in hospital for injuries he sustained while trying to extinguish a fire on a vehicle outside a house in the Sevenoaks area of the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.
