NI house prices continue to rise
House prices in Northern Ireland have risen faster than those in the rest of the UK according to a new report issued by the Nationwide today.
The report shows that throughout 2006, Northern Ireland house prices increased by 44% - an all time high, which on average means that prices rose by approximately £152 per day.
This increase now means that the average price of a property in Northern Ireland is now £181,000, a £9,000 gap between the average price of a house in the UK, which currently stands at £172,000.
However the Nationwide report has added that this rate of increase is not expected to continue.

NI House Prices Down By More Than A Tenth
Figures out today from the Northern Ireland Statistics & Research Agency show that house prices have fallen by 11% in the frst six months of this year. Land & Property Services released the Residential Property Price Index report for Quarter 2 of 2012, which is compiled from stamp duty information.

House prices in Northern Ireland have risen to an all time high according to figures released today from a study at the University of Ulster. The cost of property in the province has risen by 22%, making the price of the average home approximately £146,000. The biggest increases were in the prices of apartments, terraced houses and townhouses.

The price of the "average" home in Strabane, County Tyrone, where house prices are among the lowest in the province, has risen to £105,100 since the end of 2005. This reflects the rapid rise in the average price of a house in Northern Ireland, which has risen by over 15% in the last year.
