Four charged over ammunition find

Four men have appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court later today charged in connection with serious crime in north Belfast.

John Scott, 18, of St James's Road, Christopher Notarantonio, 35, of Avoca Close, and Stephen Clarke, 28, of Etna Drive, all in Belfast, were charged with having a gun and bullets with intent to endanger life and conspiracy to assault.

The fourth man, John Patrick Clarke, 31, whose address was not given, was charged with the possession of ammunition with intent, as well as conspiracy to assault an unidentified person.

Two Men Charged Over North Belfast Attack
Two men have been charged in connection with an assault in north Belfast. The incident, which happened on Sunday, left a man in a critical condition in hospital. On Sunday, four men were attacked on the Antrim Road and a 24-year-old suffered serious head injuries. The other three men did not need hospital treatment.

Man appears in court over Magee attack
A 52-year-old man has appeared in court today charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm on world champion boxer Eamonn Magee. Joseph Clarke, from Lagmore Dale in west Belfast, also faced charges of possession of an offensive weapon and damage to the car in which Mr Magee was travelling.

Teenager charged with jewellery robbery
An 18-year-old Belfast teenager has been remanded in custody following the robbery of a jewellery store in Belfast at the weekend. Patrick Joseph Clarke, from the Springfield Road in west Belfast, faces burglary and criminal damage charges following the incident at Walker and Hall Goldsmiths on Saturday.

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.
