Strangford search for man seen in water
Police and Coastguard have resumed a search this morning after a report yesterday (Tuesday) that a man had been seen in the water near Kilclief Castle.
Portaferry lifeboat and a police helicopter have joined the search.
A previous search on Tuesday was called off after no-one was reported missing.
Police have released a description of the man reported to have been seen in the water. The man is 30-35 years old of slim build with short dark hair. He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a fleece underneath.
The search is expected to continue today.

Man Arrested In Connection With Newry Shooting
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at an industrial estate in Newry. The incident happened at Carnbane Industrial Estate, off Tandragee Road, on Tuesday morning. The suspect was arrested following search operations in Newry on Thursday. He is being held on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

Cigarettes, Tobacco And Cash Seized
Police and customs officers have seized more than 13,000 cigarettes and five kilos of hand-rolling tobacco. The seizures were made during the course of a major search operation of 11 properties in north and west Belfast. Officers also seized £6,000 in cash under the proceeds of the crime act.

An appeal has been made for volunteers to search Cave Hill in Belfast for missing Newtownabbey man, Dean Mcilwaine. Mr Mcilwaine has been missing since Thursday 13 July. A previous search was carried out in Belfast city centre, but a new search operation is planned for the Belfast country park on Saturday 22 July.

A major search operation is to resume after a light aircraft went missing leaving the City of Derry airport. The microlight aircraft, which was carrying two passengers, is understood to have been bound for Scotland. The aircraft was reported overdue at 8.30pm on Thursday, 09 June.
