Woman dies in County Antrim collision

A 33-year-old woman has died following a road traffic collision in north Belfast at the weekend.

The incident, which is understood to have involved a female pedestrian and a car, happened at around 10pm on Saturday evening close to the junction of Hopefield Avenue and the Antrim Road.

The victim has since been named as Fiona McAllister from the Hopefield Avenue area of the city.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Appeal For Information After Hoax Devices Found In Portrush
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after two hoax devices were left outside homes in Portrush. The objects, which were wrapped in Pride flags, were discovered outside homes in the Hopefield Avenue area following a call to police on Thursday, 29 June.
