Three due in court over Bangor assault
Three men are due to appear at Downpatrick Magistrates Court later today charged with attempted murder.
One of the men is also facing charges of aggravated burglary.
The charges are connected to an incident in Bangor, County Down, on Tuesday evening, when three men broke into the home of a couple aged in their 40s, in the Rathgill Road area of the town, and proceeded to assault them.
The couple were taken to hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

Three men have been charged in connection with an assault in the Farnham Street area of south Belfast on Tuesday, 27 August. A 30-year-old man was charged with common assault, criminal damage and disorderly behaviour. A 25-year-old man was charged with criminal damage and disorderly behaviour.

Two men have appeared at L'Derry Magistrates' Court charged with the murder of a 52-year-old man. Edward Meenan's body was discovered in an alleyway just off Creggan Street in the city at around 2.45am on Sunday 25 November. He had sustained significant injuries to his head and body. The investigation into his death has led to a number of arrests.
