Priorities and Budget report shows steady progress
The Department of Finance & Personnel has today published the annual report on the Priorities & Budget 2005-08 document.
The report details progress made in taking forward the Government's Priority Outcomes and Public Service Agreement (PSA) targets in its Priorities & Budget 2005-08 document, which was published in December 2004.
The publication of the report continues the practice introduced by the Executive in 2002 of monitoring and reporting annually on progress against the Programme for Government commitments and Public Service Agreement targets.
The report primarily covers progress made between 2005-06 and shows steady progress across all of the priorities.
As well as highlighting what has been achieved in the 2005-06 year, the report also explains the reasons why particular commitments or targets have not been achieved within the timescales envisaged when 'Priorities & Budget' and its associated Public Service Agreements were first published.
