Man injured in Whiteabbey attack

Police in County Antrim have appealed for information after an alleged assault on a man yesterday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 4.20pm in the Doagh Road area of Whiteabbey, when a man was talking to a youth about a matter involving his garden fence.

During the conversation, another man arrived at the scene and proceeded to assault him.

The victim sustained a cut to his head and an injury to his nose.

The assailant is described as being aged in his 40s, of stocky build, with a shaven head and wearing a Liverpool football shirt and shorts.

Police believe that the area was busy at the time, and have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or anyone who may have any information in connection with it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Appeal For Information On Belfast Assault
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information a report of an assault which occurred at the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Sunday 1st May.
