Man injured in Lurgan assault
Police in County Armagh have appealed for information after a man was attacked by two armed men in his home in the early hours of this morning.
At around 12.40am, the man returned to his home in the Gilpin Park area of Dollingstown, Lurgan, to find two men, wearing balaclavas, gloves and dark clothing and armed with a gun and a metal bar, waiting in his living room.
The men proceeded to beat the man with the metal bar, before making their escape.
The victim was taken to hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries to his head and body, however was later discharged.
Police are investigating a possible sectarian motive for the attack,and have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed two males in the area at around 12.40am, or anyone who may have any information in relation to the assault to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

A 27-year-old was attacked at about 1.45am on Fairhill Street. A 29-year-old man has been detained in connection with the incident. Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.

Man beaten with iron bar at home
A man has been beaten with an iron bar at his home in Markethill, Co Armagh. The man, who is believed to be in his 60's, was asleep with his wife when three men burst into his bedroom and struck him on the head. They then ransacked the house and made off with a sum of money.

A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
