One arrested over County Armagh fire death
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man who was set on fire in County Armagh.
Thomas O'Hare, 33, and his 21-year-old partner Lisa McClatchey, were in their home in the Foley Road, Tassagh in Keady at around 9pm, when the gang burst into the property, doused the couple in petrol, and proceeded to set them on fire.
The pair were taken to the Royal Victoria hospital for treatment, where Mr O'Hare later died from his injuries.
Ms Clatchey remains in a critical condition in hospital.
It is understood that approximately one hour after the attack happened, four men, believed to be brothers were admitted to a hospital in County Louth suffering from serious burns.
The men, who are all described as being "stable, but critical", have since been moved to St James's hospital in Dublin.
A spokesperson for the PSNI said that they would be working closely with the Gardai, and would be contacting hospitals both north and south of the border to check if anyone has recently been admitted for treatment for burns as they are looking for six suspects.
Detectives are believed to have searched a house in Clady, County Tyrone on Tuesday, where a number of items were removed for examination.
A motive for the attack has not yet been established, however police have said that they have not ruled out paramilitary involvement, or self styled vigilantes.
The man was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
