Disused Newtownabbey shop destroyed in blaze
A disused store in Newtownabbey, County Antrim, has been destroyed in a fire.
The blaze in the former Pet World store in Newtownabbey retail park was tackled by over 20 firefighters.

Newtownabbey Car Workshop Destroyed In Suspicious Blaze
A car workshop in Newtownabbey has been destroyed in a fire, which is being treated as suspicious. The fire at the premises on Arthur Road was reported shortly after 3am on Thursday and around 55 firefighters were called in to tackle the blaze.

Carpet store destroyed in fire
A carpet store has been destroyed in a fire in east Belfast. The blaze took hold in the Martin Phillips showroom at around 5am on Monday. The roof eventually caved in as firefighters arrived to deal with the blaze on the Woodstock Road. The area was immediately cordoned off as firefighters dealt with the fire.

A Northern Ireland council has launched a new campaign aimed at eradicating hate crime. Developed by Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council and partner organisations, the 'No Hate Here' campaign will work to ensure there is no place in society for any form of hate crime or discrimination.

Body of man found on outskirts of Belfast
The body of a man has been found at a flat in the outskirts of Belfast, it has emerged today. The discovery of the 47-year-old's body was made at the flat in the Rathcoole estate, Newtownabbey, shortly after 9pm on Thursday. The police and ambulance service were immediately called to the scene, however it is not yet known how the man died.

A fire that spread from an oil tank and destroyed a row of houses in Newtownabbey is being treated as arson. The blaze in the Ballyduff Gardens area is believed to have been started deliberately, according to the PSNI. The fire broke out at around 6pm on Saturday, 19 May.
