Man due in court over drugs seizure

A 46-year-old man is due to appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court later today facing a number of drugs charges.

The man is charged with possession of a Class C drug, possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply, and cultivation of a Class C drug.

A spokesperson for the PSNI today revealed that the charges are connected with the seizure of approximately £56,000 worth of cannabis in the Caledon area of County Tyrone, following a planned search operation by detectives yesterday morning.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs in west Belfast. Police carried out searches in the Ladybrook area and Ormeau Avenue on Wednesday, 07 June. The 30-year-old suspect was arrested and questioned, however he has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man in court over drugs seizure
A man is due in court in connection with a drugs seizure in Ballymena, County Antrim. Police revealed cocaine with the street value of around £120,000 was discovered after a car was searched on the Larne Road in the town on Wednesday evening.

A Newtownabbey man has been handed a custodial sentence for a series of drugs offences following police raids as part of a paramilitary probe. 49-year-old William Axon will serve two years imprisonment, half in custody and half on licence.
