Baby dies in County Down collision

A one-year-old child has died following a road traffic collision in County Tyrone early this morning.

The incident happened on the Deerpark Road near Newtownstewart at around 8am this morning, when the car in which a woman and her baby daughter were travelling, was in collision with a van.

The driver of the car and her child were taken to Altnagelvin hospital, where the baby was pronounced dead.

The woman is described as having serious, but not life threatening injuries.

21-year old woman dies in County Tyrone
A 21-year-old young woman had died following a collision with a lorry this morning. The fatal collision happened at 8.55 am on Thursday morning on the main Ballygawley-Dungannon road in County Tyrone. The woman was later named as Rachel Crean from Aughnagar Road, Dungannon.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
