Armed robbery in north Belfast

Police in north Belfast have appealed for information following the armed robbery of a delivery van this morning.

The incident happened shortly after 10.30am in the Antrim Road area of the city, when three men – one armed with a wheel brace - approached and threatened the delivery staff.

The thieves then made off with a quantity of cigarettes.

Police at Antrim Road station have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who noticed any suspicious activity in the area between 10.30am and 11am, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a petrol station yesterday evening. The incident happened at around 10.30pm, when a man armed with a knife entered the premises in the Finaghy area of the Upper Lisburn Road, and threatened a member of staff.
