Armed robbery in Cookstown
Police in Cookstown have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a jewellers shop yesterday evening.
The incident happened shortly after 5pm, when a man armed with a handgun entered the shop on the Durn Road area of the town.
He proceeded to threaten staff before making off with a quantity of gold chains and watches.
The robber is described as being between 30 and 40-years-old, around 5'2 – 5'4 in height, with a large scar on his left cheek, and is believed to have spoken with a Belfast accent.
He was wearing a dark coloured baseball cap, and a dark coloured zip-up top with the FCUK logo on the front. He was also wearing an off-white coloured shirt, with a light patterned tie and cream coloured jeans.
Anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or who may have any information in relation to it, is asked to contact police on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an armed robbery at a service station in Keady last night, Tuesday 11 October. Shortly before 7.30pm two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a handgun and wheelbrace entered the store on Castleblayney Road. They threatened a teenage girl who was working there and demanded money.

Police have launched an investigation following a suspected armed robbery at a fast food restaurant in Co Antrim. The incident happened at Subway in the Kingsway area in Dunmurry on Sunday. The man, who told workers that he had a knife in his pocket, threatened staff and stole a sum of money from a till.

Police Probe Newry Armed Robbery
Police are investigating after a man was held at gunpoint during a robbery in his home in Newry, County Down. Two masked men armed with shotguns entered the premises in Chapel Street at around 9.30 on Monday evening. The men threatened the owner before making off with a substantial sum of cash in a dark coloured car.
