Man remanded over hijacking spree
A 23-year-old man has appeared at Armagh Magistrates Court charged in connection with a cross border hijacking spree last month.
John Paul Collins, of Salisbury Avenue in Slough, was charged with 16 offences including robbery, hijacking, theft, making threats to kill and assaulting police.
He was remanded in custody and will appear in court via video-link next month.
A second man, aged 32-years-old, who was arrested alongside Collins in London earlier this week, was released on police bail pending further inquiries.
The arrests were connected with a number of hijacking incidents in County Down, County Armagh and County Louth in the Republic of Ireland on September 14.
In total, nine vehicles were stolen or damaged, and a number of people were injured.
A 31-year-old man has already been remanded in custody on nine charges related to the same incidents.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during a car hijacking in Co Antrim on Tuesday. The incident occurred at the Kingsway Complex in Dunmurry at around 10pm. The man was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by another man who demanded his keys.

The 26-year-old is accused of common assault, driving whilst unfit and using a motor vehicle without insurance, in relation to a hijacking in the city on Monday 04 March. He is due to appear at L'Derry Magistrates Court today, 06 March.
