Dunnes Stores to axe 60 staff at Foyleside
At least 60 jobs are set to go at Dunnes Stores in Londonderry.
Staff at the firm's Foyleside shopping centre store were told the redundancies would commence at the end of next month.
A spokesperson for the TGWU said it was "shocked" to hear of the news and that it was pretty upset that Dunnes had not consulted with them over the redundancies. The spokesperson said the TGWU would have several questions to ask the company when they meet on Friday.
The move comes a year after the company closed its store in the nearby Richmond shopping centre.
