NI company represented on Wall Street
Software developed by Belfast firm, Ion Technologies Ltd is helping major global companies to manage their online marketing operations worldwide.
Recent successes include contracts with a major Wall Street bank in New York, with Reuters, the international media and financial intelligence company and the world famous Encyclopaedia Britannica.
Contracts with these companies are estimated to be worth over £100,000 and the company is confident that these sales will lead to substantial further business.
Ion Technologies sold its Logo2go software to the Wall Street financial institution after taking part in an Invest Northern Ireland trade mission to Internet World, New York in October.
Internet World is an exhibition to introduce new technology to the internet business community. As part of the in-market support provided by Invest NI at the event, Ion Technologies secured several appointments with large corporate firms in the city including the Wall St investment bank.
As a result the bank purchased Logo2go to manage and distribute its artwork and branding in a secure way. It will be used by up to 15,000 of the bank’s employees worldwide who can now choose to have corporate images delivered automatically to their desktop in either print, PowerPoint or web ready format, once approved by central marketing in New York.
The company has recently sold another of its software products, Subscribe, to Reuters, Encyclopaedia Britannica and the English National Opera. Subscribe is a web/email server application used to manage, send and report on company e-mail marketing shots. The product was developed with support from Invest NI, which has also helped the company market its software products.
Mark Carruthers, Client Executive in Invest NI’s Eastern Local Office said: “Ion Technologies is a good example of a small business that has used the wide range of support available from Invest NI and has successfully targeted the international market.
"The company was set up just three years ago and now counts many multi-national companies among its customers. We have been able to support the company with product development, marketing and business development and will continue to work closely with it to help the business grow.”
Ion Technologies was set up to develop Internet and intranet based software, specialising in solutions for marketers to control advertising design, branding and image management and email marketing.
