Dale Farm to 'butter up' Sainsbury's customers
Dale Farm has won a contract to supply some of its top-selling products to Sainsbury’s stores throughout England.
The deal, which was announced today, is expected to increase the Dale Farm trading within Sainsbury’s by an excess of 300%.
Having supplied Sainsbury’s in Northern Ireland since 1996, Dale Farm is set to expand on its Dromona range of butters and spreads – these include Spreadeasy Butter, Half Fat Butter and Country Gold spread.
David Pollock, Sales and Marketing Director of Dale Farm, said: “We are delighted to be working with Sainsbury to provide the customer with the best available products. Northern Ireland has a reputation for producing high quality products with the best natural ingredients. We hope that the availability of Dromona products will complement Sainsbury’s existing range of Irish products in their stores.”
Finn Cottle, General Manager of Dairy at Sainsbury's, said: “We are committed to sourcing the best products and supporting local companies where possible. Working with Dale Farm, we have chosen a key selection of their products to include in our Irish range, in order to meet the needs of the communities living close to selected stores in England.
"Sainsbury have already had significant success selling other selected Northern Irish brands in these stores and hope that Dromona adds further to this success.”
