SDLP councillor's home attacked
The home of SDLP councillor Pat Ramsey has been targeted in a petrol bomb attack.
The incident happened just before 10pm on Saturday evening, when a device was thrown at the back wall of the property in the Meenan Drive area of Londonderry.
Mr Ramsey and his wife were not home at the time of the incident, however their 30-year-old daughter was in the house at the time.
This is the 15th time Mr Ramsey's house has been attacked in such a manner and the politician is now deliberating on whether to remain there.
Mr Ramsey said: "We are just sick, sore and tired of these endless attacks on our home and on our family.
"I fear that if these attacks do not stop here and now then it will result in the loss of life of my loved ones.”
SDLP Leader Mark Durkan MP MLA has strongly condemned the attack and has described it as "despicable and disgusting."
Dissident republicans opposed to the peace process have been blamed for past attacks on Mr Ramsey's home.
