Racial motive for Tyrone attacks

Police are treating a number of attacks on homes in County Tyrone at the weekend as racist.

Seven homes in the Dungannon area, occupied by Polish and Lithuanian nationals, were targeted during the incidents, which happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Bricks with notes attached were thrown through the living room window of each house in the Bleachfield area of Moygashel, warning residents to leave.

No one was injured during the attacks.

Police have removed a number of items for forensic examination, and have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attacks, or who may have any information in relation to them, to contact detectives on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
