Man sought after 'mouse eating' footage
The USPCA are trying to trace a man who can be seen on an internet website biting the head off a mouse.
Around 2,000 people have viewed the incident on the YouTube website, which is believed to have been filmed at a party in the Turf Lodge area of west Belfast.
USPCA spokesman Stephen Philpott said: "If the USPCA in this instance can prove unnecessary suffering, which is the key phrase under the Welfare of Animal Act, we will certainly be taking it further."
He added that they had already received a great response from the public after appealing for help in identifying the man in the clip, which shows him drinking from a can of beer before biting the head off the mouse and chewing it. He then proceeds to spit it out claiming that it was impossible to swallow.
The video has since been removed from the website.
