Child injured in Carrickfergus collision
Police in County Antrim have appealed for witnesses following a road traffic collision earlier today.
The incident happened at around 8.15am, in the North Road area of Carrickfergus, when a 12-year-old boy was knocked off his bicycle.
It is understood that the child's bike was in collision with a taxi.
The boy has been taken to hospital where he remains in a 'serious' but 'stable' condition.
Police have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
