Planner helps connect business events
Over 50 industry bodies and community-based organisations have collaborated with Invest NI to create a new online service that is designed to boost business.
The new Invest NI interactive Online Events Planner is designed to facilitate closer communications among the many organisations engaged in economic development.
Chief executive, Leslie Morrison said: “The service is an integral part of our strategic focus on boosting relationships with customers at all levels. By developing our website into an important portal, we seek to provide the wider Northern Ireland business community, and our customers, especially client companies, with up-to-date information about events they may wish to organise and attend. These events may include opportunities to grow their business through networking and capability development.
“Organisers will be able to check what’s already on the business agenda, avoid scheduling overlaps and also promote their own event,” he added.
Among those organisations already signed up to provide regular information about business events are: the Confederation of British Industry, the Institute of Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses and the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Both Queen’s University and the University of Ulster have also registered participants along with the main banks, many district councils and most of Northern Ireland’s network of enterprise agencies.
The Invest NI Online Events Planner has been designed for easy use by anyone involved in business. A quick search facility also enables users to locate events quickly, by topic, location or date.
