Woman assaulted in County Antrim
Detectives in County Antrim have appealed for information after a woman was assaulted earlier today.
The incident happened at around 7am, when a woman was confronted by four men as she made her way along a laneway from Ballee to the Pennybridge industrial estate in Ballymena.
Two of the men were armed, one with a knife, and another with a large pair of scissors.
The woman was assaulted, and although she was not injured during the attack, was left badly shaken by the ordeal.
All four men are said to have been wearing green waterproof jackets, black waterproof trousers and black hats.
One of the men is said to be around 5ft 4 in height and quite plump.
The others are said to be taller and slimmer.
The gang made off across fields towards Ballee after the incident.
Police in Ballymena have asked for anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or who may have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A woman has been assaulted during an aggravated burglary in Newtownabbey. A number of masked and armed men forced entry to a property in the Forthill Drive area at around 10.15pm on Wednesday, 19 September. A woman who was in the house at the time was attacked and sustained an injury to her lip. Three other people in the property were not injured.

Two Men Attacked With Baseball Bats In Co Antrim
Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.

Five people injured during attack
Five people have been injured following an attack in Co Antrim at the weekend. Shortly after 1.30am on Sunday a man and two women were assaulted by a group of youths as they left a social club at the Broughshane Street junction in Ballymena. They sustained minor injuries.

The PSNI has issued an appeal as part of an ongoing investigation into an assault on Boxing Day, Wednesday 26 December, when a woman was seriously assaulted. The victim was attacked on High Street, Holywood, at around midnight. Officers said there were several people at the scene at the time to witness the violent act.
