Police appeal for information on missing man

Police in Larne are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of 38-year-old Ian Black.

Mr Black has not been seen since he left work on the Shore Road area of Newtownabbey at around 7pm on Tuesday evening.

The following day, his blue coloured Ford Focus type car was found abandoned close to a forest in the Shaneshill Road in Larne.

Mr Black is described as being around 5'4 in height, of stocky build, with short dark hair and a swarthy complexion.

He is believed to have been wearing his work uniform of grey trousers, a white shirt and black shoes.

This behaviour is extremely out of character for Mr Black, and anyone who may know of his whereabouts, are asked to contact detectives in Larne on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.
