Racist motive for Newtownabbey attacks
Police in County Antrim are treating attacks on two houses at the weekend, as racist.
Petrol and paint bombs were thrown at the houses on the Tobarglen Crescent area of Newtownabbey at around 10pm on Sunday night.
The exterior of the properties, and a car which was parked outside were damaged during the attack, however no one was injured.
A spokesperson for he PSNI said: "These types of attack will not be tolerated and remain a rare occurrence.
"Anyone found breaking the law will be dealt with robustly. Officers within Newtownabbey DCU are fully committed to ensuring that Newtownabbey remains a safe place to live in and to work, regardless of community background or nationality."
Detectives in Newtownabbey have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Body of man found on outskirts of Belfast
The body of a man has been found at a flat in the outskirts of Belfast, it has emerged today. The discovery of the 47-year-old's body was made at the flat in the Rathcoole estate, Newtownabbey, shortly after 9pm on Thursday. The police and ambulance service were immediately called to the scene, however it is not yet known how the man died.

Security increased at Newtownabbey cemetery
Security is to be tightened at a Newtownabbey cemetery following the desecration of nearly 30 graves last weekend. Councillors in Newtownabbey met on Monday night to consider how the attacks at Carnmoney cemetery could be stopped. The latest attack came on Friday night when nearly 30 graves, all believed to be Catholic, were vandalised.

Joe Reilly Murder: Man Arrested
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Joe Reilly. Mr Reilly, 43, was shot at his home in the Glenwood Court area of Poleglass, west Belfast, on 20 October. Police detained the suspect in the Newtownabbey area on Thursday, 08 December. He has been taken to Musgrave Police Station for questioning.

Sean McParland Murder - Woman Arrested
A woman has been arrested by detectives from the PSNI Serious Crime Branch investigating the murder of 55-year-old Sean McParland in Skegoneill Avenue in north Belfast in February 1994. The 45-year-old was arrested in the Newtownabbey area, County Antrim, on the morning of Tuesday 10 June.
