'Sectarian' attack on Armagh home
Police are treating an attack on a house in Armagh over the weekend, as sectarian.
Windows at the front of the property in the Greenfield Court area of the city were broken, in the early hours of Saturday morning, and graffiti was sprayed on the rear of the house and a fence.
The windscreen of a car, which was parked nearby, was also smashed during the attack.
A man, a woman, and two children were at home at the time of the incident, however, escaped without injury.
Detectives in Armagh have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the attack, or who may have any information in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Detectives are appealing for information after a young man was shot in the Creggan area on Wednesday night, November 27th. Shortly after 10:10 PM, police received a report that the man, in his late teens, had been shot in the leg. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

City building to get £20m makeover
A disused building on Belfast’s Ormeau Avenue is to be transformed into an upmarket aparthotel, bar and grillroom. Social Development Minister Margaret Ritchie today announced that Nicholas and Paul Hill have been selected as the Department’s preferred developer for the former Armagh House building on Ormeau Avenue, Belfast.

Arson attack may have had racial motive
A man has escaped injury following an arson attack on his County Antrim home in the early hours of this morning. The fire started at the house in the Stonebridge Court area of Lisburn at around 4am this morning. It is understood that an attacker entered the house by breaking a window at the back of the property.

Belfast Hotel Plan Dropped: Report
A government-supported plan to build a hotel in central Belfast has been scrapped, the BBC has reported. Back in 2007, the Department for Social Development appointed Tullymore House Ltd as preferred developer for Armagh House in the city’s Ormeau Avenue, with plans to convert the building into an upmarket hotel.
