Man charged over city attack
A 22-year-old man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow, charged with attempted murder and obstruction.
The charge is connected to the serious assault on a man in in the Connsbrooke Avenue area of the city shortly before 12.40am on Tuesday morning.
Earlier today, three men who were also arrested in connection with the attack were released pending police reports.
The victim, who has not yet been named, was taken to the Royal Victoria hospital in Belfast, where he remains in a "critical condition."
It is understood the victim, who is not from the area, had attended a party at a house in the street after a night out in the city centre.

The fund is being set up after a number of businesses have been severely affected by the fire at the Bank Buildings which happened over three weeks ago. A cordon remains in place and 14 firms have been closed for up to four months.

St Patrick's Day event has support of BCC says councillor
The Chairman of Belfast City Council’s Good Relations Steering Panel has challenged claims that the Council is not supporting St Patrick’s Day in Belfast. It follows a protest outside Belfast City Hall last week by the St Patrick's Carnival Committee who claim the Council isn't funding this year's event at the City Hall.

The PSNI have issued an appeal to the public following the loss of two Attenuating Energy Projectile (AEP) rounds during an incident at a hotel in Belfast city centre. On the evening of Sunday 7 May specially trained firearms officers were deployed to a report of a man with a gun threatening staff and guests at a hotel in Belfast City Centre.

Man due in court facing drugs charges
A 28-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with possession of a Class C drug with intent to supply. The man is also charged with being concerned with the supply of a Class C drug. He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court later today.
