Man robbed in Newry
Detectives in County Down have appealed for information after a man was attacked and robbed at the weekend.
The incident happened at around 12.30am, at a takeaway outlet at Corry's square in Newry, when a man was attacked by up to three men inside the shop after he had bought pizza.
The gang struck the victim in the face and then made off with his wallet containing an undisclosed sum of cash.
A police spokesperson has said that a there were a large number of witnesses in the area at the time, and detectives in Newry have asked for anyone who may have any information in connection with the incident, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

A major £250,000 road resurfacing scheme has been announced for the A25 Newry Road. The works will comprise of approximately 0.65km of carriageway resurfacing of the A25 Newry Road through Camlough village, from south of the U1583, known as Hall Road, to just beyond C217 Chapel Road roundabout.

The PSNI's Organised Crime Branch have welcomed the sentencing of Paulius Alencikas after he plead guilty to a number of drug offences at Newry Crown Court. His charges related to police searches of a vehicle and three properties in Armagh in October 2019 during which drugs with a combined value of more than £31,000 were seized.

Cyclist Killed In North Down
A cyclist has been killed following a collision with a lorry. It is understood that the victim is male and aged in his 30s. The incident happened on the A1 carriageway outside Newry at about 20:30 on Thursday. The man died in hospital a short time after arrival. No details on the man's identity have been released.

County Down pensioner burgled twice within a week
Detectives in County Down have appealed for information following two separate burglaries at the same address over the past week. At around 5pm yesterday evening, five men entered the home of a 91-year-old man in the Camlough area of Newry.
