Fourth man charged over Tobermore murder
A fourth man has today been charged with the murder of 36-year-old Ronald Mackie in Tobermore County Londonderry last weekend.
Dean Milligan, 18, from Crew Road in Maghera, was remanded in custody when he appeared at Londonderry Magistrates Court this morning. He was remanded in custody until 22 August.
A 17-year-old male, who was arrested yesterday in connection with the murder, remains in custody where he is still being questioned over the killing.
A total number of eight people have been arrested in relation to the incident.
So far, four men have been charged with the murder, two were released without charge, and one man was released on police bail.
Mr Mackie, from Kippen in Stirlingshire in Scotland, was attacked by a crowd of men sometime between 1.45am and 2.15am on Saturday July 29, after a row broke out at an event inside the Tobermore United Football Club in Tobermore.
After being beaten, the gang left Mr Mackie in the path of an oncoming vehicle.
The victim was visiting family in Northern Ireland, and had been watching an Orange Parade in Maghera, before going into the Tobermore United Football Club, prior to his murder.

Third man charged over Tobermore murder

Paul Eric Cecil Johnston, 20, from Park View, Castledawson, County Londonderry, replied "not guilty" when the charge was put to him. Yesterday, two other men appeared in court in connection with the killing.

Seventh man arrested over Tobermore murder
Police investigating the murder of a Scotsman in County Londonderry at the weekend, have arrested a seventh man in connection with the death. The 18-year-old man was arrested yesterday under the terms of dangerous driving, and a PSNI spokesperson has confirmed that police are conducting a related search.
