Woman injured during car hijacking
A woman has been injured after her car was hijacked in Co Down yesterday afternoon.
The woman was kicked in the stomach and suffered hand injuries after being approached by a gang of three youths wielding baseball bats on the Portaferry Road in Newtownards.
The youths escaped in the woman's silver Alfa Romeo car.
Police are interested in anyone who may have witnessed the hijacking which occurred at about 1pm on Tuesday.

Woman Found Unconscious On Co Down Road
A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed during a car hijacking in Co Antrim on Tuesday. The incident occurred at the Kingsway Complex in Dunmurry at around 10pm. The man was getting into his vehicle when he was approached by another man who demanded his keys.

A woman sustained minor injuries after being dragged from her car during a hijacking in Co Antrim. The incident occurred in the Grainon Way area at around 8pm on Thursday, 28 July. The victim's black Vauxhall Zafira was later found burnt out on the Crumlin Road in Belfast.

Woman Left Badly Shaken Following Car Hijacking In Belfast
A 60-year-old woman was left badly shaken following a car hijacking in Belfast. The incident happened at the Northside Park and Ride Carpark at around 5pm On Wednesday, 13 July. Two men entered the woman's car while she was in it and physically took the car keys from her. She was badly shaken, however she was not injured.

The woman was driving a grey Peugeot 5008 in Whitecliff Crescent, Ballymurphy, around 10.20pm on Saturday, when she was forced from the vehicle. The men drove away in the car. It was later found burnt out in the Glenside Road area a short time later.
