Police investigate racist motive for attacks
Police in County Fermanagh are investigating a possible racial motive for attacks on two houses on Monday night.
In the first incident, a petrol bomb was thrown through a front window of the house in the Stewart Terrace area of Enniskillen shortly before midnight.
The device burned itself out and no one was injured.
A short time later, three masked men smashed windows in the front and rear of a house in Rossorry Terrace in the town.
They are believed to have made their escape in a black Vauxhall Nova car which was seen driving off in the direction of the Shore Road.
One man was described as being around 5' 8" of stocky build, and was wearing a black balaclava, grey jacket, blue jeans, and white trainers.
A second man has been described as being around 5' 8" in height, of stocky build and wearing a light blue v-neck sweat shirt with a horizontal stripe, and had either a balaclava or scarf around his face.
It is understood that the residents of both houses were Polish nationals, and police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed either attack, or who may have any information in relation to the incidents, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.

Two arson attacks have happened within hours on the same house in Ballymena at around 3.20am this morning. Two petrol bombs were thrown at the property in Drumclug Park, and police were alerted after a back bedroom window was broken, which caused a fire to start inside the house. No one was in the house at the time of the attack.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man questioned about 1988 murder
A man has been arrested in connection with police inquiries into a murder in 1988. The body of Lily Smyth, 66, was found in her flat at Moveen House in Dunmurry on October 9, 1988. The pensioner had been strangled. A police spokesperson said that a 43-year-old man had been arrested and is being questioned at Antrim Police Station.

Body uncovered following caravan fire
Police have uncovered a body following a fire in a caravan parked in the garden of a house in Co Antrim. The body was discovered in the early hours of Friday at Taylor's Avenue in Carrickfergus, however fire investigators have yet to determine a cause of the blaze.
