Woman targeted in hijacking incident

Detectives have appealed for information following a hijacking incident yesterday evening.

At around 7.20pm, a woman, aged in her 40's was travelling along the Westlink in Belfast in her car, when she was approached by two men armed with a screwdriver.

The men threatened the woman and stole her car, driving off in the direction of the York Road.

One of the thieves is described as being in his late 20's or early 30's, of heavy build, with a large scar on the right side of his face.

He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

The second man is said to be in his early to mid 20's and with shaved fair hair.

Police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have seen the black coloured Ford Focus car, registration CEZ 4200, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Pensioner Hit By Car In Portadown
A woman has been arrested after a pensioner was knocked down in Portadown, Co Armagh. The 80-year-old woman was struck by a car in the Park Road area at around 1.20pm on Monday, 20 March. She is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital. A 49-year-old woman is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police launch murder inquiry in Moneymore
Police are appealing for information after a man was found dead in Co Londonderry. The 37-year-old man, who is of Asian origin, is believed to have been attacked at Rockview Park in Moneymore on Sunday. The man succumbed to severe head injuries on Tuesday. Two men have already appeared in court on Tuesday in connection with the incident.

Woman Badly Shaken Following Carjacking In Belfast
A woman has been left badly shaken following a carjacking in Belfast. The woman, aged in her 30s, was driving on the Pembroke Loop Road at around 7am on Sunday, 21 November. A man ran out in front of her car and another male opened the driver's door and forced her out of the vehicle.

Woman robbed outside east Belfast café
Detectives in east Belfast have appealed for information after a woman was robbed yesterday afternoon. Police have said that the incident happened as the woman made her way to her car after finishing work at an Internet café on the Woodstock Road area of the city at around 4.30pm.
