Gas explosion wrecks Tyrone surgery

A health centre in County Tyrone, has been partially destroyed during an explosion earlier today.

It has been reported that the explosion happened at a doctor's surgery on the Crossowen Road in Clogher, at around 7am this morning.

At this stage it is understood that the blast was caused by a gas cylinder, which was situated in a kitchen at the back of the premises.

No one was injured during the incident, however the rear of the building was demolished in the blast, and severe damage was caused to the rest of the premises.

The Fire and Rescue Service are at the scene, and the surrounding area has been sealed off.

Viable Pipe Bomb Caused Explosion In West Belfast
A viable pipe bomb caused an explosion at a house in west Belfast, police have confirmed. The incident happened at the rear of a property in the Creeslough Court area just after 8pm on Wednesday, 07 February. No-one was injured in the incident. Arson attack could have caused major explosion
The Fire Service has today said that an office block could have exploded when it filled with gas following an arson attack. More than 30 homes had to be evacuated for several hours after smoke was seen coming from the office building at Lomond Avenue, off the Holywood Road at around 10pm last night.

Greenisland gas explosion deliberate
A gas explosion and fire in which 50 homes had to be evacuated in County Antrim, may have been caused deliberately according to police. Flames shot 30ft in the air near the railway station on Station Road, Greenisland, on Sunday.

Gas Explosion Rips Apart Pensioner's Home
A pensioner has escaped any major injuries following a gas explosion at his home on the outskirts of west Belfast. The blast blew out three walls and part of the roof as it ripped through the house in Glassveigh Gardens in Twinbrook at about 11.30pm.

Continuity IRA admits attempted Belfast bombing
The Continuity IRA has admitted responsibility for planting a bomb outside a police station in north Belfast last night. More than 100 families were evacuated from their homes after a device placed inside a Vauxhall Cavalier was discovered parked outside York Road police station at around 9.45pm on Tuesday.
