Twins injured in 'hit-and-run'
Police in County Tyrone have appealed for information after two teenage cyclists were involved in a hit and run incident, yesterday evening.
A spokesperson for the PSNI has revealed that two 14-year-old twin brothers were cycling close to the Ballynahay quarry in Ballygawley at around 8.30pm last night, when they were knocked off their bikes by a green coloured car, which fled the scene and made off in the direction of Omagh.
The boys both sustained serious injuries during the collision, one of whom is said to be in a critical condition.
One man has been arrested in connection with the incident as is currently assisting police with their inquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Meanwhile, a motorcyclist has died in a road traffic collision in County Londonderry.
The incident happened near a railway flyover in Portrush at around 8.30am.
The name of the victim has not yet been released, however it is understood that he is from the Portstewart area.
The Portrush to Portstewart road between the Glenmanus Road junction and Millbank Avenue is expected to remain closed for several hours, and police have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, to contact them.

A 31-year-old woman has been hospitalised with serious and "potentially life changing" injuries after she was hit by a car that failed to stop. The incident happened on the Ormeau Road at around 10.50pm on Saturday 16 March. Police were called to the scene after a silver vehicle struck the female pedestrian and failed to stop.
