Items seized in schoolboy murder investigation

Police in north Belfast have seized a number of items in connection with the investigation into the murder of Thomas Devlin.

The items were seized following searches in the Mount Vernon area in the north of the city, earlier today.

Thomas Devlin, 15, was fatally stabbed close to his home on the Sommerton Road on August 10, 2005.

He was on his was home after going to a local garage to buy sweets with his two friends, aged 16 and 18.

He was stabbed five times.

Police have not ruled out a sectarian motive for the murder and despite a number of people being questioned in connection with the the death, no one has ever been charged.

Two arrested in connection with Thomas Devlin murder
Police have arrested a 22-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman in connection with the investigation into the fatal stabbing of north Belfast schoolboy Thomas Devlin. There are no further details as yet, however it is understood that the arrests were made this morning in Belfast.

Two arrested over Devlin murder
Police investigating the murder of north Belfast schoolboy Thomas Devlin, have arrested two people. The pair, a man and a woman, were arrested at separate locations in the north of the city earlier today and have been taken to the serious crime suite in Antrim for questioning.
