Man remanded over Belfast murder
A 45-year-old man has been remanded in custody charged with the murder of a man on Tuesday morning.
The body of the victim, who has been named as 47-year-old Patrick Madden, from the Carrick Hill area of the city, was found in the Oldpark area of north Belfast.
It is understood that Mr Madden had attended a party at the house the previous evening.
Patrick Mooney, from the Antrim Road, was arrested on Tuesday and today appeared before Belfast Magistrates Court.
A detective told the court that when charged, Mooney pleaded "not guilty," and added that he had continuously denied the charge throughout the three days of intensive questioning.
He was remanded in custody, to reappear before the same court on July 28.
A 46-year-old woman, who was also arrested on Tuesday, was released last night pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

A man charged with the murder of another man found dead in Banbridge is to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court today, 13 July. The body of 55-year-old Richard Gerard Scullion was found at a property in the Millmount Court area on Monday, 09 July. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Police Return To North Belfast Murder Scene
Detectives from Serious Crime Branch investigating the murder of 46-year-old Kevin Kearney in north Belfast have returned to the scene today in an effort to gather more information. Mr Kearney was shot on Tuesday morning, 8 October, as he took his dogs for a walk in Alexandra Park, a short distance from his home in Dunmore Avenue.

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.
