Taxi driver attacked in Londonderry
A Londonderry taxi driver has escaped injury after his car came under attack at the weekend.
The incident happened at around 3.20am on Sunday.
It has been reported that the driver had just dropped off a fare at Duncastle Park in the Newbuildings area of the city, when his vehicle was attacked.
It is understood that a single person, described as being around 5' 5" tall and wearing a red hooded top, began throwing missiles, possibly a brick or stones, at the car.
The rear windows on the drivers side of the vehicle were smashed during the attack, and the culprit made off.
The driver was not injured during the incident, however was left badly shaken by the ordeal.
Police have appealed for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or know the identity of the person responsible, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Ambulance damaged in brick attack

Appeal After Arson Of DVLA Car In Bushmills
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an the arson of a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) vehicle in Bushmills on Tuesday, 6th August. Just before 11am, it was reported that two men, both wearing balaclavas, approached the vehicle as it was parked on Main Street.

Investigation Launched After Car Attacked In L'Derry
Police have launched an investigation after a taxi driver's car was attacked in L'Derry. A number of youths jumped on the car as it travelled along the Northland Road at around 11.30pm on Saturday, 05 August. The youths jumped on the bonnet of the vehicle and another broke the driver's side window. The taxi driver is believed to have been in shock.
