Police investigate West Belfast shooting
Police in west Belfast are carrying out an investigation after a man was shot earlier this afternoon (Friday).
The incident happened in the Kerrykeel Gardens area of the city at around 12pm.
The 22-year-old victim was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast where he received treatment for his injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.
The motive behind the shooting has not yet been established and police have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or know anything in relation to it, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Police are currently investigating the second shooting incident in west Belfast in one day. A man was shot once in the right leg at Turf Lodge, west Belfast at about 20:10 on Thursday evening. It is understood the 38-year-old was shot in an alleyway in the Ardmonagh Gardens area. He is currently being treated in hospital.

Police reissue appeal over city shooting
Police in west Belfast have reissued their appeal for information in relation to the shooting of a teenager last weekend. The incident happened in the early hours of Saturday morning, when 18-year-old Conor Welding was approached by two men and shot in the Ard Na Va area of the Falls Road in west Belfast.
