Man's body recovered from river Lagan
Police divers have been called in to recover a man's body from the Lagan river at Stranmillis.
The body was spotted this morning by rowers in the Stranmillis area of south Belfast.
Police divers were tasked to the area, where they found the man's body lying under a tree, partially in the water. The area was sealed off and a dinghy was launched to search the water.
He has not yet been identified.
Police cordoned off a section of the embankment between Stranmills roundabout and Ridgeway Street and diverted traffic away from the area for a time.
The road has since reopened.

Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was recovered from Bangor Marina on Wednesday, 13 May. Police received a report that a man had entered the water shortly after 10.15am. Emergency services and police attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.

Body Recovered From River Lagan
Police are investigating after a woman's body was discovered in the River Lagan. The body was found in the Shaw's Bridge area on Monday afternoon, 16 September. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this stage. A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.

Police appeal following body find in house
The body of a man has been found at a house in Co Antrim on Thursday. The man, who is believed to be in his 50's, was discovered at the house in Ladysmith Terrace in the Harryville area of Ballymena at around 9pm. Police have appealed for information into tracing the man's movements over the last few days.
