Man dies following road collision

A pedestrian has died following a road traffic collision in east Belfast.

It is understood that the man, believed to be in his thirties, was struck by a lorry at Vionville Court in the Kings Road area of the city shortly after 10am today.

The victim, who has not yet been named, was taken to hospital but died later from his injuries.

Two people were arrested at the scene and are currently helping police with their inquiries.

Detectives have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or been in the area when it happened to contact police on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Man In Hospital After Dog Attack In Banbridge
A man is receiving hospital treatment after being attacked by a dog in Banbridge, Co Down. At around 10.50am on Monday, 03 October, police received a report that a man had been attacked by a dog in the Lurgan Road area. Officers arrived at the scene and brought the dog under control.
