County Down man remanded after weekend sex attack
A County Down man has been remanded in custody charged with attempted murder and rape.
41-year-old Clive Adams from Springwell Gardens, Groomsport, near Bangor, appeared at Newtownards Magistrates Court earlier today believed to be connected to a sexual assault on a woman at the weekend.
The incident is understood to have happened at the woman's home in Bangor on Sunday April 23.
Mr Adams did not speak during his time in court, however a detective told the court that he had denied the allegations when questioned by police.
The defendant has been remanded in custody and is due to re-appear before the court via video-link on May 19.

Man Remanded In Custody Over Murder Of James McDonagh
A man has been remanded in custody charged with murder of James McDonagh. Mr McDonagh, 28, from Castledawson, was assaulted outside the Elk Inn on the Hillhead Road in Toomebridge on Sunday. He was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital, however he died from his injuries on Monday.
